What is a Event Write-up?
An Event Write-up is a series of easy questions players answers at the
end of every event. Event Write-ups are used by the Plot Committee to
gather information and to improve the game for all concerned. An event
write-up give you the opportunity to tell Plot what you did, and what
you though about the latest gathering. You're telling all your friends,
why not tell Plot, too? This gives Plot a more accurate picture of what
happened at the event as a whole. Sometimes this is the only way that
Plot finds out what some of the more sneaky/shy people have done and/or
plan to do!
Your REWARD for submitting
an Event Write-up?
The reward is (The Character submitting the Write-up's Level) x2 in
XP to be added to the character's build for the next event, not
the current one. As examples: 1st level Guy Fighter ends his first gathering
with 30 XP, which turns into three build. Guy turns in a write-up, and
starts the next event with 28 CP and 2 free XP. Or, Bob the Powerful
with 100 CP (level 8) ends the game with 1 CP and 65 free XP. He turns
in a write-up, and gets 16 XP for it. He starts the next event with
101 CP and 81 free XP.
Obituaries
Should your character suffer his/her/its final death, then you are eligible
for a special bonus for writing your own obit! If you include an obituary
for your permed character then your new character will get the XP that
your old character would have received. Obit Bonuses are paid at the
same rate Write-ups are: 2 times the level of the Permed Character.
For example Bob the Powerful (level 8) dies his final death, so he writes
his own (biased? never!) obit. His new character Fred the Fighter will
receive 16 XP (2x8) Which turns into 2 CP and 1 loose XP. So Fred will
start the game with 27 CP and 1 XP. There are some tiny rules attached
to the Write Your Own Obit Plan:
You cannot add this XP to a previously existing character, only to a
new one.
You cannot write an obituary for a retired character.
